Our Chef

Hákon Már Ívarsson is well known in Iceland and also he is a former prize winner in the famous international cooking contest Bocuse d´Or. Not only is he a great chef but also an avid fly fisher.

He has made his name in a few fishing lodges in Iceland such as in the Midfjardara back in the year 2000, Laxá in Aðaldalur and in the Haffjardara last season..

Sunna

Sunna is a 20 year old girl from Akureyri in the north of Iceland. This will be her second year with us at the Miðfjarðará. Most of our clients from last year will remember her as the smiling, hard working blonde.
