Handling of personal data

This privacy policy applies to data that Pro Tours may collect through this website or through other electronic communication. Pro Tours complies with Icelandic Act No. 90/2018 on Data Protection and the Processing of Personal Data, as well as the provisions of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Pro Tours is responsible for the handling of information it collects about its customers and is guided at all times by security and privacy. Information the company collects is not sold or passed on to third parties for their own purposes.

Pro Tours does not collect unnecessary information about its customers or its staff. This applies to visits to the Pro Tours website and to other electronic communication such as email.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or other smart device when you visit a website for the first time. They allow the site to recognise your device and remember how you used the site on your next visit. Cookies do not contain personal information such as your name, email address, telephone number or national identification number. Mailing list

If an individual signs up for the Pro Tours mailing list, the company will process the customer's email address and, in some cases, other information the customer provides, such as name, address and gender. That processing is based on the customer's consent, and the customer may withdraw that consent and unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time.

Pro Tours mailing list messages are used to send registered individuals news about the company's activities or educational content.

Contacting us by email

This website does not contain any forms and collects nothing you type. If you contact us using the email address shown on the site, we process the contents of your message and your email address for the purpose of answering your enquiry and arranging your booking.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we may hold about you. In some cases you also have the right to have that data corrected or erased.
